Famous for the volcano that formed it, the island of Santorini is one of the most unique islands in the Aegean Sea. It is the southernmost island in the Cyclades and is steeped in myths and legends of ancient times.
Although always thought of as just one island (Santorini), it is in fact five with Thirasia, Aspronissi, Palea Kameni and Nea Kameni close by.
Modern Santorini boasts a wondrous landscape, unique beaches which are white, red, gray or black sand that stretch along the crystal blue waters of
the Aegean Sea. It is a beautifully different island that attracts visitors from all over the globe. They flock here to admire the remains of the volcano that erupted to form these exquisite islands.
The famous caldera sits quietly now for visitors to enjoy and relax in a peaceful setting that Mother Nature formed in ancient times so long very ago.
